Good friend Billy Shew is also coming along on his EP and I will be mixing it soon. Also just finished mixing two new Kay Kay songs for a 7 inch release and the new album. Things have never been better!! Hope all who read this are doing fine, it’s summer in Seattle, Whoo Hoo!

Happy Holidays

Just wanted say hello and wish you all a safe and cheerful Christmas and New Year! I hope 2008 brings you all success and wisdom in your art and personnel endeavors.

Of course the studio is busy through the holiday season- more surround sound mixing and some basic band tracking through January. February will be exciting with two Tank releases coming out- The Senate’s live DVD and Kay Kay’s full length album.

Best wishes to all!!!!

Surround Sound 5.1 Mixing

I have been mixing a new live surround video DVD for local seattle acoustic power rock trio “The Senate”. A recent show was recorded at a Seattle venue “Cafe Solstice”. We are turning the corner on the stereo mixes-then off to surround land! Also in the works is a full length CD (both disc’s packaged together) for the Senate. The 2 disc product will be released by March.

Halloween Haps

Over the past couple of weeks the studio has been up to lots of good- The Tank was proud to host three members of Seattle’s acoustic guitar ten piece orchestra “Tuning the Air”, the guys were in tracking a full length album with engineer/producer Andy Boyd. Awesome stuff.
Also this last week final touches of mixing and mastering were completed on an EP to be released by “Wild Orchid Children”. The CD will be released on the bands own label.

October Happenings

This week I completed a 70 minute live remote multitrack for Equal Vision recording artist “Fall of Troy”.

Also in the works were more pre-production tweeks for “The Senate” (to be recorded during November and December).

Roasting the jazz bird

This week we are working on final mixes for a televised roast, cooking the veteran Seahawk quarterback Dave Krieg. This will hopefully be a FOX sports feature and is MC’ed by seattle comic Rod Long. The roast is a benifit for cancer victims and their families.

More mixing for the Denver based band “For A Few”.

Also the first day of pre-production begins with The Senate.

back to work……

punk excretion

Clickpop recording artist Scatterbox has left the studio. Three days of tracking and the record is almost done. Man, some bands just crank thru the tunes- These guys are really nice gents- Check their tunes out.
